Queen
Anne lost its popularity at the turn of the century. Taste had
reverted to simpler styles. Jay D. Driver, a lawyer, chose such
a simple style for his new home. Built next door to the old
Charles Stuart home, Driver's house is a Georgian structure.
Built
with a 'four-square' layout, the house does not resemble the
old Georgian mansions. But the simple details and veranda give
it the colonial touch.
