This
large Italianate villa was built in 1860 by E.A. Carder.
Carder was a respected furneture salesman. Despite the size
and beauty of their new home, the Carder's moved out in 1866.
They moved into a large villa on South Street.
The
home's next tenant was Morris Seligman, a clother. He lived
here until the 1880's.
