The Rickman Hotel

George Rickman and Son's built many of Kalamazoo's finest developments in the first years of the new century. Perhaps their most ambitious undertaking was the Rickman Hotel on the corner of Kalamazoo Ave. and N. Burdick. Built in 1907 it was Kalamazoo's second structure exheeding 8 stories.

The hotel as had a number of names. During its 50 years of operation it has been the Rickman, the Milner, and the Reid Hotels. It survives today as the Rickman House, a halfway home.
