The Park Building

One of Kalamazoo's early tall
steel structures, the Park Building differed greatly from the Peck Building just down the street. The Peck had a light simple facade of large square windows. The Park featured slight Romanesque details with rough stone trim and an arched entrance. The windows were also smaller on the Park, giving it a more bulky appearance then its contemporary.

The Park has faired better.
While the Peck was demolished in 1974, the Park Building continues to decorate South Street.
