The
Century Building
|
This
dark mirrored facade was erected in 1956 as J.C.
Penney's Department Store. Penney's had previously occupied
the old Corporation Hall further north. The two story building
replaced a parking lot that had taken the place of the old Post
Office in 1939. Penney's has since moved on but their old store
survives as the Century Building,
housing offices and retail.
